Telecommunications Regulatory Authority of Bahrain (TRA)
  • Overview

The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority of Bahrain (TRA) is a Bahrain governmental institution. It was established by Legislative Decree No. 48 of 2002 promulgating the Telecommunications Law. The TRA is an independent body and its duties and powers include: protecting the interests of subscribers and users, and promoting effective and fair competition among established and new licensed operators; developing the Kingdom of Bahrain as the region’s most modern communications hub and facilitating the development of the market; and protecting the interests of subscribers and users of telecommunications services and maintaining effective and fair competition between established and new entrants to the telecommunications market of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
  • Challenge

The TRA recognised the fact that a lot of mandatory annual report content can be somewhat dry, meaning getting people to look at and talk about the report would be a tough sell. So they asked Spark Digitus to look at developing a website framework that would enliven the content and give them the best possible opportunity to generate some buzz around it online.
  • Solution

We created an interactive presentation through the latest web technologies featuring an interactive timeline that “reveal” impressive facts and history of TRA. The report delivered unique features, including a parallax effect of pages and responsive design that responds to screen size.
